    Is BrowserSentry free?
    Yes. BrowserSentry is free to install and use. Optional integrations such as VirusTotal file scanning or LeakCheck Pro use your own API keys under those services’ terms.
    Does BrowserSentry read my browsing activity?
    It checks the addresses of pages you open against threat lists and reads page text in memory to detect scam language. This happens inside your browser. Your browsing history and page content are not sent to our servers.
    Do I need an account?
    No. Every protection works without signing in. An account is optional.
    Will it slow down my browser?
    Ad and tracker blocking uses Chrome’s built-in declarativeNetRequest engine, which filters requests natively. Threat lists are stored locally for fast lookups, so checks don’t wait on a remote server.
    Does it replace my antivirus?
    No. BrowserSentry protects the browser: websites, downloads, extensions, and tracking. Keep your operating system’s security software running alongside it.
    Which browsers are supported?
